Victoria Beckham rushed to Finland to be with David Beckham as he recovers from the surgery he underwent yesterday. David injured his Achilles tendon during a match with AC Milan on Sunday.
Although the injury will keep him off the field for the season, he has some options for how he spends that time. Rumor has it that there's a bidding war going on with the networks to have David work during the World Cup as a broadcaster, giving his professional opinions on the event.
"Both the BBC and ITV are desperate to lure him. He will more or less be able to name his price. Becks is a dream pundit because he's not only a current England player who knows what's going on, but he also appeals to women. Girls might not be interested in what Alan Hansen or Alan Shearer has to say. But they'll tune in just to see David Beckham."
If they'd broadcast it on BBC America, I would certainly tune in.
I hope he has a full, speedy recovery from his surgery.
